Michał and Zuzanna here.

Our blog about internship in Reggio Emilia is starting with this post.

We hope you will post some interesting things here so we all can see them in different perspectives.

You can add some information about what do you do at work, some photos and your impressions about the trips, what do you do in free time in the city, some home activities, new things you are eating or drinking and many more. Add your thoughts, some music you like to listen, some funny videos you made or found on internet.

But we are asking you to respect netiquette. Don’t comment nonsense things like „washjdgfk” and don’t be too rude.

We would prefer the posts to be written in English but songs and videos can be as you like them.

My work

I work at C3K Computerlab. I’m assembling computers and installing operating system and any sort of programs. I design some bussines cards and create a website. I also create a website in HTML programming language.

I work in Min Electronics. They are repairing telephones and laptops. After they repair it I must test it. I check if it works properly and if looks good. I arrange them by name of the firm. While on my break I usually go eat something and I go to the shop.

Our trip to Bologna

Today we have been in Bologna. We went as a smaller group because not everyone wanted to go. They had other plans for this day. We took a short walk around the Piazza Maggiore. We met Mickey Mouse and took some pictures. Then we went shopping. We visited some exclusive shops like Gucci and Prada. Michał bought a Gucci watch. About 5p.m. we came back home. We were tired but satisfied :)

Santa Clauses and Reindeers

On 6th December while on my break I went to the shop and I bought Christmas hats and reindeer horns for everyone. After work me and Mariusz made a trip to look for a Christmas Tree. We visited a few shops but couldn’t find it. At last we found it at China Bazar. We found a perfect one and also bought lights for our tree. When we came back home our teacher made a present for us and bought pizza. We took some photos and enjoyed this Christmas time with our hats and horns.

City Game

Today we participated in a Street Game.

We had to complete all the tasks, help ourselves with the map and enjoy ourselves.

Our group unfortunately haven’t finished all of them but we got a consolation prize.

So, the first task was to find a memory board commemorating the origin of Polish national anthem and it’s compositor Józef Wybicki and then sing this anthem under it. Kasia and Maja were the lead singers. <3

The second task depended on finding as many animals ‚guarding’ the city as we could. We could find some lions, an elephant and even fish in the bucket. We additionally found some eagles, but we didn’t find the elephant.

Third task was to find a memory board of two eldest streets crossing but we didn’t manage.

Fourth one was to find the eldest graffiti in the city.

Fifth task was about using the map because we had to find the place marked on it and take a group photo there.

Sixth one was about finding out what each color of the Italian flag means and also taking a photo of it.

Seventh one expected us to ask some citizens to tell us a sentence in regional dialect and record it. We managed 😀

Eighth one was about finding as many photos of the regional food around the town as we could but we didn’t manage.

And finally the ninth task was about finding some Christmas decorations on the street eg. red umbrellas above the street. It was a beautifull view.

Trip to Florence

Hello

Today we have been in Florence on a trip. We saw some beautiful old buldings like Palazzo Medici-Riccardi. When we had a free time, I went to chocolatte manufacture. They had a chocolatte waterfall. Their chocolatte was delicious.

Work in the office

Hello

Zuza here.

Our work in the IFOM office is centered around writing and translating some useful tips for students living in the residences in Reggio. We are also creating some websites for YouNet and also this blog here. But we aren’t working all the time. We have one hour lunch break when we can do what we like.

We are also integrating with the friendly, funny, sympathetic staff.

 

The three pieces at the top of this delicious pizza represents Michał, me (Zuzia) and Tomek. This pizza symbolizes our team, we are all part of a whole, but each of us is different.
